“One Belt, One Road: Risks, Challenges and Opportunities for US Companies”: Speaker Presentations from The Carter Center China Program’s OBOR event

On March 2, 2017, The Carter Center’s China Program hosted an event discussing the theme of “One Belt One Road: Risks, Challenges, and Opportunities for US Companies”.

Dr Yawei LIU, the director of the China Program and the moderator of the event, and Mr. Ralph CHOW, the Regional Director of the Americas at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council began the event with some introductory remarks.

Following this, a panel discussion and Q&A session was held with Mr. Deyou TIAN, Minister Counselor at the Washington Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Nicholas KWAN, Director of Research at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Mr. Henry YU, President of the Hong Kong Association of Atlanta and Chief Operating Officer of Asian Investors Consortium.

Finally, keynote speaker Mr. James N. SUCIU, President of Global Sales and Marketing for General Electric Energy Infrastructure and Vice President and Officer of the General Electric Company, offered some remarks over lunch.
